The National Women’s Council of Realtors was originally formed in 1938 with 37 ambitious women representing 9 states. Today, WCR serves as a voice for more than 17,000 members and is the 12th largest women’s organization in the nation. Statistics show that the average realtor makes $52,200 a year, while the average WCR member makes $117,900, and in 2004, there were 9,600 business referrals in the amount of over $105 million dollars among the WCR members. WCR provides an extensive referral network, programs for individual growth, and opportunities for increased productivity, financial security, and leadership development.
This progressive group continues to be on the leading edge of the real estate industry. WCR offers the only Realtor leadership designation, the PMN (Performance Management Network Designation). The PMN is earned by meeting the specific experience requirements and by the successful completion of required course work.
The Dayton WCR Chapter meets on the first Thursday of the month to network with Realtors and Affiliates and to develop career skills through educational speakers. The more involved you become in your chapter, the more benefits you will receive. First join the membership, and then become involved by serving on a committee or in another capacity within our chapter. Volunteers are always welcome!
Your WCR membership will be a critical element in your development and your career. I urge you to get involved, come to General and Governing board meetings, plan on attending state or regional meetings, run for offices or committees, post your name on the referral directory, and send out and receive referrals. Not only will you increase your income, but you might make some good friends along the way. If you have any questions, please feel free to call any officer or committee member(see web pages)
